Supporting and Empowering Women
Supporting and Empowering Women
Girls on a Mission (GOAM) is an independent non-governmental organisation (NGO) that works to assist disadvantaged women in Australia and abroad. GOAM aims to improve the lives of women by reducing poverty, distress, exploitation and violence & abuse against women.
Our charitable purpose is to promote a dignified standard of living for women and their dependent children in Australia. We aspire to act as an emergency resort for women affected by domestic violence, poverty and abuse. Through annual fundraising activities, GOAM will provide income and maintenance support, including everyday necessities and emergency welfare. GOAM also aims to improve women's access to education, health care and legal aid. Check out our projects to find out more!
Our long term goal is to spread our influence and legacy around the world! GOAM values the importance of women's education and believes that schooling women is essential for women's opportunity, dignity and health care solutions. Through 'Won Education', GOAM aspires to build a village school in Lebanon with a goal to start a fight against women's destitution. In addition, through our 'Reach' project, GOAM will provide material support to alleviate the poverty crisis suffered by Lebanese citizens and refugees. Our global mission is not limited to Lebanon. Each year, GOAM will take our 'Sanitary without Shame' project around the world. Nominating a different country every year, GOAM will distribute pads and tampons to the world's most vulnerable women.
